This blog is meant to be a natural next step in my experiences in travel. Typically, I enjoy more road-less-travelled, moderately touristy and historically (not matter how relevant the impact) noteworthy locations. But in a truer sense, I simply want to understand how other people in other locations live in an attempt to view life from a different cultural or location(al?) lens.
I have travelled quite a bit around the United States, Mexico and Europe. However, stories about these trips can come across disjointed or only a smaller part of a journey with much greater context that gets lost in the casual conversation in which it arises.
I hope this blog does a couple things:
- Creates a platform to provide that lost context of my travels
- Inspires others to take a closer look at places that may otherwise seem benign
- Provide photographic evidence of my “tall tales”, so that my stories are not seen as merely B.S.
